Sarah Ndangi
About
Born in Kinshasa in 1996, Bunga Ndangi Sarah is an artist who transcends conventional boundaries. Although initially graduated in biology-chemistry, her passion for art led her to pursue studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa. By 2020, she earned her degree in Plastic Arts, specializing in Painting.
Sarah’s artistic journey is a testament to her dedication and love for art. She has actively participated in numerous exhibitions, showcasing her talent and contributing to the rich tapestry of Congolese art. Her medium of choice includes acrylics and oils, through which she brings her visions to life.
Her artistic approach revolves around the concept of influence. Through her paintings, Sarah explores the interplay of geometric shapes, realism, and unique backgrounds. Her palette, a blend of warm and cool tones, reflects the duality of influences – both positive and negative. For Sarah, influence is not just an external force but also an internal drive that shapes our perceptions, behaviors, and dreams.
At Kitokongo, we are thrilled to feature such a talented female artist. The world of painting has long been male-dominated, and we are eager to see this change. Sarah’s inclusion in our platform is not just an addition to our roster of artists but also a step towards a more inclusive and diverse representation of Congolese art.
Join us in celebrating Bunga Ndangi Sarah and her exquisite artworks. By supporting artists like her, we contribute to preserving Congo’s rich artistic heritage and promoting a brighter future for all artists.
