About

Born on the third day of July in 1980 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, Claude Bosana Vami, known to the art world as “Œil d’Aigle” or “Eye of the Eagle,” has established himself as an intriguing force in the contemporary art scene.

Despite initially dreaming of becoming a doctor or a priest, Bosana’s path took an unexpected turn. His fascination for art, sparked by his love for cinema and the compelling movie posters he replicated as a pastime, led him to the prestigious Académie des Beaux-Arts. Here, he pursued studies in Fine Arts and Graphic Arts, laying the foundation for a rich artistic journey ahead.

After graduating, the artist in him was fully awakened. He took the plunge into the professional world of visual art, breathing life into his visions as a painter and graphic artist. In 2007, Bosana went on to establish his own workshop named “Art Du Beau.” His passion for art transcends the canvas — he channels it into nurturing and guiding the new generation of artists, fostering a space of learning and growth for many young talents.

Bosana’s unique artistic style presents a beautiful blend of classic and popular art. He seamlessly merges the principles of classical art with the vibrancy of popular art, resulting in captivating creations that are as much a feast for the eyes as they are food for thought. His artwork does not simply recreate scenes from everyday life; it delves into a myriad of themes including health, current events, and wildlife. This thematic diversity showcases Claude’s ability to transcend boundaries and explore varied realms of human existence.

One of the distinguishing features of Bosana’s art is his remarkable use of color. Employing a distinct blend of warm and cool tones, he creates lively and engaging art pieces that exude an infectious sense of cheer and joy. His control and manipulation of colors, his ability to strike a balance between hues and tones, demonstrates his innate understanding of the aesthetic and emotional impact of colors.

Bosana’s significant contributions to the art world have not gone unnoticed. His works have been showcased in various art exhibitions from Kinshasa to Belgium and Austria, earning recognition and applause from critics and art lovers alike. His pieces are not just visually compelling, they also offer a glimpse into his personal journey, his cultural background, and the richness of Congo’s diverse culture.
