Alain Kabambu

Alain is a dedicated vintage art dealer who runs a small street shop on Ave De Lemera Gombe, just in front of the British Embassy. He displays his collection of tribal Congolese art, including masks, statues, and other artifacts on the sidewalk, creating an open-air shopping experience for passersby.

Alain sources most of his pieces from remote villages in central Congo. He is known for his friendly demeanor and commitment to offering a good selection of tribal artifacts to his customers.

We’ve bought from Alain several times, and on one occasion, when we asked him about a specific artifact, he managed to find it and bring it to us a few days later.
