Emerging from the vibrant heart of Kinshasa in 1993, Winnart Nsangu has become a beacon in the realm of visual arts. Every brush stroke and charcoal line of Winnart’s art harkens back to ancestral roots, each canvas resonating with poetic echoes that span diverse themes. His creations have not only graced the National Museum of the DRC but have also found their way to international shores, captivating audiences in France, Norway, Côte d’Ivoire, and Belgium.
More than just an artist, Winnart is a mentor and a visionary. His founding of the Kipelo collective in 2019 was marked by the notable exhibition “Sortir de la masse.” This spirit of collaboration and mentorship extended into 2020 with “Bis ope toza,” another testimony to his dedication to fostering young talent.
